Peter Ferdinando is a British character actor, known for his varied, transformational performances. He has collaborated extensively with his cousin Gerard Johnson playing the title role in the critically acclaimed Tony (2009) and the lead role in their more recent film together, the award-winning Hyena (2014). He has also appeared in David Mackenzie’s prison drama Starred Up (2013). He regularly collaborates with British filmmaker Ben Wheatley: A Field in England (2013), High Rise (2015) and Doctor Who (2014) where he played the Half Face Man, and Wheatley’s latest feature Happy New Year Colin Burstead. Other recent film credits include Vita and Virginia with Gemma Arterton and Elizabeth Debicki, Blue Iguana with Sam Rockwell, Lost in London alongside director and star Woody Harrelson, Ghost in the Shell with Scarlett Johansson and Juliette Binoche and Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur Legend of the Sword with Jude Law and Charlie Hunnam. He’s lead role in Hyena, which premiered at Edinburgh Festival in 2014 which received 4 award nominations and 4 wins internationally, including the Les Arcs Film Festival prize for Best Actor.
